Food
I love eating.
Favourite foods include roasted garlic, homestyle chicken from Uncle Changs Chinese restaurant, chocolate Movenpick icecream, blue Castello cheese and sushi.
I'm a snacker ... give me some seaweed crackers and a plate of baba ganoog and I'm a happy camper. I also like salami - my life has improved since I stopped being a vegetarian ... well, in the small goods arena anyway!
When I get time, I'll add a few of my favourite recipes to this page.
In the meantime, if you're stuck for a good place to eat in Wellington, here are my current recommendations (prices are per person, excluding drinks):
Dirt Cheap (under NZ $10):
Satay Kampong, Satay Village - heck anything with the name SATAY in it!
The New Dynasty yum char lunch & The Chariot.
Cheap (NZ $10 - $20):
Uncle Changs, Sushi House, the Curry Club & Nicolini's.
Not so cheap (NZ$20 - $30):
Tupelo - go early before the noisy, smoking bar folk arrive and enjoy delicious food and a terrific NZ wine list.
The Oyster Bar, there are some 4000 different combinations of food on that menu ... be brave!
Bust the piggy bank (NZ$30+):
Logan Brown - impressive wine list and swtiched on staff, a bonus!
